Mark Berry grew up in the metro Detroit area. He played basketball and studied art, English, and education at Olivet College (Michigan), earning a bachelor’s degree and a Michigan teaching certificate in 1999. Since then, Mark has had an impactful career teaching in Michigan’s public schools. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in teaching (Marygrove College, 2006). In addition to his work as a public school teacher, Mark has labored to support his family as a self-employed caricature artist since 2012. Mark and his wife Yvonne were married in 2001, and have since raised three sons. Mark has been a consistent member of Hope Community Church since 2000 and has served the church in a variety of capacities.
